Originally from El Paso, TX, I’ve called Virginia home since I was eight. I earned my cosmetology license just before graduating high school, which opened the door to a job doing brow shaping. This led me to discover a passion for makeup artistry, and I began honing my skills in that field as well. Over time, I had the privilege of working with prestigious brands like Tarte, Benefit, Bare Minerals, and It Cosmetics, which further refined my skills in sales, events, and masterclasses.
As my passion evolved, I shifted my focus to bridal beauty, specializing in hair and makeup for weddings and special events. Being part of such meaningful milestones is deeply rewarding. There’s nothing like helping brides and their loved ones feel radiant and confident on their special day. This commitment has led to unique opportunities, including a chance to collaborate with Monte Durham, fashion director for TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta. Although I chose to dedicate myself fully to my bridal clients, I remain grateful for the opportunities that allow me to make every bride feel extraordinary.

The Things I Love
- I love playing video games! In my free time, I'm usually playing with my future husband or my friends. (fun fact: I met all the closest people in my life playing online)
- I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. Proud Hufflepuff here!! I dream of going on a magical Harry Potter trip in Europe!
- I've been a huge anime and Japanese culture enthusiast since my early teens. My favorite band is even Japanese!
- I've recently started reading a lot. My partner and I love going to a book store or cafe to relax and read/browse. My favorite genres are probably Romantasy and Horror.
- I love all things horror from movies and games to overall aesthetic. Naturally, Halloween is my favorite holiday!
Monahime (pronounced Mo-nuh-hee-meh) was created with a purpose that goes beyond just beauty. From the very beginning, it was built to be a safe, inclusive space where everyone, no matter their background, feels seen, heard, and beautiful. My vision for Monahime was always to provide an elevated, personalized experience that celebrates uniqueness and creates a space where every bride can feel their absolute best.
The name Monahime blends two cultures that are close to my heart. Mona, a term from Mexican culture meaning “doll” or "cute," was chosen because it embodies the warmth, charm, and care I wanted to infuse into this business. It's a playful, personal touch that reflects the welcoming, feel-good experience I strive to create for every bride. Hime, meaning "princess" in Japanese, brings in the elegance, grace, and refinement that have always inspired me about Japanese culture. Together, they form a name that encapsulates both beauty and strength—an elevated, personalized experience where every bride is celebrated.
